Course Schedule and Registration
Practical Pistol 2
1 Day (8 hours)/Starting @ $103.30 – select the price you’re willing to pay from the available pricing options during registration
Prerequisite: Practical Pistol 1
Class Start: 8:45 am
Class Location: Taylorsville, GA 30178. Details will be emailed week prior to class.

The course provides a continued exploration of fundamentals introduced in our Practical Pistol 1 course. The addition of increasingly complex scenarios reinforces the need for sound fundamental application challenging the student’s weapons handling skills along with their problem solving capabilities. Practical Pistol 2 establishes the next step in skills development and the application of specific tactics necessary to prevail in a lethal force encounter.

Course Topics:

  • Firearms Safety
  • Fundamentals of Marksmanship
  • Practical application of Marksmanship
  • Multiple threat engagements
  • Close quarters shooting
  • Malfunctions
  • Shooting from uncomfortable positions
  • Shooting on the move

Gear List:

  • Pistol w/holster (strong side, inside or outside waistband is fine).
  • 350 rounds of factory loaded ammunition
  • Magazine pouch (if none don’t worry pockets work well)
  • A sturdy belt for the holster and magazine pouches (try your gear on prior to class)
  • As many spare magazines as you have (saves on reloading time)
  • Eye & ear protection (foam inserts or muffs – electronic muffs recommended)
  • Hat with bill & sunblock
  • Raingear
  • Pen and Paper
  • Comfortable clothing and footwear. Wear something you’d use to go hiking in a national forest for the day (this is not the time to break in a new pair of platforms, pumps, wedges, sling backs, etc.)
  • Knee and elbow pads (optional) – Knee pads will help during range cleanup
  • Water or similar for hydration (1 gallon)
  • ~$12 for lunch. Lunch will be offsite at “Pastabilities Italian Restaurant” located approximately ¾ mile north of our training site: https://plus.google.com/102677858879266339973/about?gl=us&hl=en
